Compendium of Accounting

Compendium of Accounting in Polish & English

In international accounting the English language is the most popular language in use. Individuals from different countries, speaking different languages will often have to deal with this matter. Even the members of such associations as ACCA do not always demonstrate the vast and full linguistic skill set. To make one’s work easier and to explain potential doubts accountants often need thick dictionaries. And it often happens that the thickest dictionaries do not contain the most required information.

This book has been produced as a response to the growing needs of users who have lacked such a compendium of professional terms used in the international accounting arena. The book has been written by an expert who deals with accounting professionally and the specialist terms – both official and the less formal – are familiar to him.

The book consists of two parts, Polish and English. The content does not include phonetic transcription, but it provides clear and reliable explanation of the terms. The author introduces the reader to the world of English and Polish terminology in the field of accounting in a plain and understandable manner. What is extremely important is the fact that the compendium brings information comprehensible for both: experienced accountants and students as well as beginners and the people from different disciplines.
