New resource for SMEs is launched on accaglobal.com
Global small business activity section now live
07 Aug 2007
The small business unit, working with ACCA offices across the globe, is now producing a summary of their small business related activities on the new ACCA global small business section of accaglobal.com. The section - global small business activity - summarises each region’s recent accomplishments and events, provides links to relevant websites as well as providing some background details on the regions’ SME activity.
Members that work in SMEs (businesses with under 250 employees) or advise SMEs constitute over half of ACCA’s membership and it is vital that ACCA understands and supports this community. Through a broad range of activity carried out by ACCA staff across the world, and supported and complemented by the work of the small business unit, ACCA seeks to understand and meet the needs of this important constituency; whilst also acting as a powerful voice for this often disenfranchised community.
The first update contains information on ACCA’s recent call for SME research proposals; an update on ACCA’s wide ranging activity on the proposed international accounting standards for SMEs; the details of recent SME publications; and a review of some of our most recent SME focussed events and committees staged across the world.
