CAT Scheme
ACCAs CAT Scheme is being relaunched, with the first of the new scheme
examinations due to be sat in June 2004. Building on the strength of the existing
qualification, the new Scheme introduces the following features:
- ability for students to study separate streams for international or UK accounting and auditing standards
- more flexibility in the number of papers students can take each session and
- the opportunity to take examinations out of sequence, with those most relevant and useful taking priority.
The CAT scheme is highly regarded by employers in all sectors, providing a firm foundation of knowledge and the opportunity to fast track towards becoming a professional ACCA accountant. Assessed by examination and competence-based work experience requirements, the scheme is designed to offer relevant knowledge with maximum control.
