Government Minister to address ACCA conference
The Welsh Assembly Government Minister for Finance and Public Service Delivery, Andrew Davies AM will address key figures from the finance profession within the health sector on Friday 4 July at the annual health conference held by ACCA Wales, the global professional body for accountants in Wales.
The conference will consider a wide range of finance issues vital to the effective delivery of health services in Wales.
Speaking ahead of the conference, Ben Cottam, head of ACCA Wales stated: “The role of accountants and finance professionals in our health service is crucial to the development of the sector and the continued improvement of the health service in Wales. We are delighted that the Minister has recognised the importance of accountants in this role by agreeing to address the conference.”
The conference is open to all health sector finance staff and has been designed to develop knowledge and skills in key areas relevant to finance professionals in the health sector in Wales.
The event will be chaired by Stuart Davies, acting chief executive of Health Commission Wales and will be held at the Vale Hotel, Hensol, Vale of Glamorgan from 9am.
