Jersey accountants join ACCA Channel Islands network
In its first contested elections for new members, ACCA UK Channel Islands Members’ Network has elected three accountants to serve on its network. ACCA is the global body for professional accountants in the UK with 2,060 members and students in the Channel Islands.
The new members of the Channel Islands network are:
• Jackie Davis, senior fund accountant, Moore Stephens
• Mark Oliver, finance director, Jersey Evening Post and Guernsey Press
• Andrew Quinn, director of KPMG Channel Islands Limited
In addition, Brian McCarthy, finance director, Le Masurier Group, was re-elected onto the panel.
Karen Haith, president of the Channel Islands Members’ Network says: “I am delighted that we have new members of this calibre on the network. They all bring a wealth of experience and will help ACCA’s Channel Islands network further develop.”
ACCA UK recently held its largest annual conference in the Channel Islands at the St Pierre Park Hotel Guernsey with over 700 participants attending a variety of sessions. Other activities planned for 2008 include its quarterly networking lunches, a trip to the La Mare Wine Estate, Jersey and CPD presentations in both Guernsey and Jersey.
