How it works
The Oxford Brookes University blended-learning global MBA enables you to maintain your career and to study at a time and pace which fits in with your personal and work demands. The programme not only exposes you to the latest management thinking but encourages you to apply your learning to your workplace and beyond. Delivery at a distance does not compromise the quality of your experience, but aims to provide you with a learning environment that is both challenging and supportive.
Bringing the University to you
The global MBA programme is delivered through online support and paper-based study materials, with immediacy of support from dedicated tutors, and 24 hour access to resources in the Virtual Library.
Interaction with fellow students and tutors takes place through the Virtual Campus facilities. If you are reading this through MS Explorer or Netscape browsers, your PC specifications will be sufficient to accommodate the Virtual Campus.
Students are placed in tutor groups drawn from around the world. Seminars are scheduled for all modules and take place asynchronously over a period of two weeks, enabling you to participate in seminars at times convenient to you.
Participation in e-learning seminars is a key part of the global MBA programme and provides valuable opportunities for exploring concepts and issues with other students from around the world, and with tutors.
You should be prepared to devote around 15 hours per week to studying, this will vary for individuals depending on their aptitudes and interests, and exams can take place in any of over 350 ACCA centres in more than 170 countries.
Face to face workshops
Face-to-face workshops also provide opportunities to work in teams and discuss issues. You will normally be expected to attend at least two face-to-face workshops during your programme. These will be offered in Oxford and at another non-UK location each year. Dates are publicised in advance to allow you to plan.
