Scholarship details

The scholarships are awarded to those individuals who best represent ACCA's core values of opportunity, innovation, diversity, accountability and integrity. In addition, members also need to demonstrate how the MBA programme will make a positive contribution to their own career, the accounting profession and the community in which they live.

Who is eligible to apply?

Any ACCA member that fulfils the following criteria is eligible to apply for the MBA scholarship:

  • be an ACCA member of good standing
  • have regular access to IT facilities
  • admitted to ACCA membership less than 10 years ago
  • minimum of three-years' professional/managerial experience
  • not already registered as a student on the MBA programme.

What does the MBA scholarship include?

ACCA awards two scholarships each year. The scholarship covers the full MBA course fee which includes textbooks and assessment but does not cover any fees for module deferrals or dissertation reassessment.

The MBA scholarship award also includes tuition fees for the two compulsory workshops you will be required to attend. There will be additional costs covering subsistence and accommodation which will be in a region of £450 per workshop plus travel costs to attend the workshops.

ACCA will provide an expenses allowance up to a maximum of £1000 for award winners outside Europe and £500 for award winners in Europe towards these costs. You will need to meet any costs above this amount.

ACCA's MBA scholarship is not deferrable. Should you decide to take up your place on the MBA programme for whatever reason, you cannot postpone your scholarship award, or assign the award to a third person. There is no cash alternative to the scholarship award.
