Cambridge ICFE

English is the international language of finance and accountancy, and students and affiliates who wish to succeed in the international business arena will need to demonstrate to employers that they have first-rate English language skills and the ability to communicate effectively.

To help you do this, ACCA offers the Cambridge International Certificate in Financial English (Cambridge ICFE) in partnership with the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations (English for Speakers of Other Languages).

Cambridge ICFE assesses candidates' ability to understand spoken and written English in realistic contexts that accounting and finance professionals encounter in their daily working lives. The exam consists of four papers – reading, writing, listening and speaking – providing a comprehensive approach to developing financial English language skills.

Successful candidates are able to use the language skills they develop when preparing for Cambridge ICFE in a range of practical accounting and financial contexts.  From participating in meetings and discussions of a financial nature to interpreting financial documents including statements, journal articles, letters, reports and proposals.

Studying for Cambridge ICFE could also help your performance in exams and prove to employers that you understand the language of finance.
